Importance of Self Defense Trainings in the Corporate Sector.

ree

We all usually log in at our office desks at 9:00 am, switching on our laptops by 9:15, and then the cycle begins, again - coding, data analysis, PowerPoint presentations, financial reports, endless online meetings.

Everyone is busy chasing deadlines and targets until the punch-out time late in the afternoon. In this constant loop of work, follow-ups, and meetings, we often forget something of significance importance – smiles, fun, creativity, and physical well-being.

To compensate for this gap, many companies offer different activities for employees such as Zumba, aerobics, yoga sessions, or even indoor games. I have tried to join most of them and truly enjoy at times. But recently, something new, fresh and interesting was introduced by our management team, KAVACH Self Defense Training.

At first, I thought, ‘Self defense? Do I even need it? My office provides a cab service to and from my home. Plus, I don’t come from any sports or fitness background. I’ve never attended any martial arts or self defense classes in my life.” Honestly, I had always considered myself a very average person, average height, average weight, and average energy levels because of my sitting job profile most of my life.

Then there were additional questions, What if I get hurt? Do I have to carry proper workout clothes to office? But then my mind countered back - “Do attackers ask for your height, weight, or loose clothes before they targeting you? Will you get time to change into gym wear before defending yourself?. And to make it worse, I remembered the today’s morning news - a 70-year-old couple attacked inside their own home, followed by another incident of road rage involving a fitness trainer, beaten and left on the road side. A young working women manhandled on the busy road in clear daylight. Clearly, age, gender, or fitness levels don’t stop attackers.

So, the next question struck me - what do I have to lose in just one hour? With that thought, I registered for the session titled “KAVACH Self Defense Workshop.” And the rest is history.

Today, after attending several training sessions, I can say this with extreme confidence that self defense is not just a good-to-have skill, it is an absolute necessity.

It is a life skill, the only tool that ensures you reach your family safely, with dignity. And yes, it comes with beautiful side effects - increased motivation, higher self-confidence, heightened situational awareness, gradual fitness, and most importantly, self-trust.

As an HR professional in a multinational company, I now realize how important it is for orzinazations to introduce self defense training sessions in their systems. I’m not saying this because we are contact with KAVACH, recognized as India’s No. 1 life-skill and safety training program for corporates, schools, law enforcement, and even military units. I say this because I’ve personally seen how empowering, practical, and fun these sessions are. They are super safe, highly engaging, motivating, and designed for everyone, both men and women, no matter your age, fitness, or background.

I won’t say much about it but you must really try it once for yourself. If you genuinely care about the happiness, confidence, and safety of your employees and team members, this is something worth investing in.

I am sharing below the direct contact details of KAVACH, in case you want a short presentation or a direct meet with their team. Maybe, even a 20-minute of the presentation might force you to rethink the way you look at words -“teamwork, motivation, and life skills.” Like earlier, I did.
